Modular main

Modular Type was the first project of my university experience and played a key role in deepening my understanding of typography.

It gave me a deeper appreciation for how different typefaces communicate tone, structure, and personality.

This project took me on an in-depth exploration of typographic design. My ideas evolved constantly throughout the process, eventually leading me to create a bold, blocky typeface inspired by my hometown, Southampton—specifically the brutalist architecture of Wyndham Court.

The final typeface is gritty and uniform, with a stripped-back simplicity that reflects the imposing yet structured feel of the building that inspired it.
